Why Use Testing Library for React Component Testing?

Testing React components effectively requires a library that prioritizes user-centric testing. @testing-library/react, along with @testing-library/user-event and @testing-library/jest-dom, is designed to test components in a way that closely resembles how users interact with your application. Here’s why these libraries are essential for React component testing:


1. Encourages Testing from a User Perspective

Unlike traditional testing libraries that focus on implementation details (e.g., checking internal state changes), Testing Library emphasizes testing components the way users would interact with them.

✅ Example: Instead of testing if a state variable updates, we check if the UI changes accordingly.
